Retention

Private beta retention follows configured platform and AWS custody sidecar settings unless a customer-specific agreement overrides them.

Deletion

Customer-facing deletion or revocation can remove access and suppress AI/MCP/API retrieval. Physical deletion may be delayed by backup windows, audit preservation, or Object Lock retention.

Legal hold

Legal hold may suspend deletion or retention expiration while preserving audit evidence and access controls.

Object Lock limitation

Object Lock can protect against deletion or overwrite during a retention window. It does not mean BaseCite verifies truth, provides legal authority review, or guarantees theft is impossible.
