About BaseCite
BaseCite is an evidence-context infrastructure service for organizations that need customer-submitted materials to remain private while selected, bounded context can be used by authorized AI systems.
What BaseCite does
BaseCite accepts organization-scoped uploads, records consent and provenance metadata, verifies file integrity, and applies controlled publication rules before any AI-readable context is served. The service is designed around a clear separation between private originals and bounded context. A successful upload is not a truth, company, legal, or source-authority verification claim.
How agents should use it
Agents should begin with the public capabilities document, OpenAPI contract, or MCP metadata. Authenticated operations must be scoped to one organization and one upload at a time. Public discovery pages contain only public-safe service and boundary information; private customer files, raw OCR, object locations, and bulk exports are not public surfaces.
Operating boundary
BaseCite documents the status of an upload and the controls applied to its context. It does not certify a customer, endorse a supplier, rank a company, guarantee search adoption, or replace a customer consent process. Corrections are handled as new uploads so the original provenance record is not silently overwritten.
